We are pleased to inform you that Platforum ranked Fund Channel as the best international B2B platform in Europe in its annual report published in May 2022.
Platforum is an independent UK-based research firm providing an annual report on the distribution of European funds. On this occasion, 128 asset managers took part in the survey.
In addition to the overall ranking, Fund Channel ranked first in three of the survey's six criteria: efficient process, value for money, and compliance support.
Effective process refers to the effectiveness and efficiency of all services and systems; value for money how asset managers evaluate access to distributors and commission-related services; and compliance support refers to due diligence and advice on legal requirements.
European platforms have significantly increased their share of retail fund distribution in Europe over the past five years: they now control more than a quarter of European assets under management, which reach € 3.684 billion, an increase of 26.5% over the the previous year.
Platforum's research aims at a better alignment between the expectations of asset managers and the offer of institutional platforms. Here are some relevant points:
More standardization: due diligence questionnaires and fund data;
"Market Intelligence" and transparency; And
Integration with other systems
Under the patronage of the French Association of Asset Managers (AFG), Fund Channel has worked with other market players to define best practices and provide recommendations on key topics. Platforum mentions the positive outcome of this initiative.
